Local History

Some of the information that we hold is common to the whole area.

The detailed information and pictures for particular buildings , institutions and areas is split into three districts within the town. We have not chosen precise boundaries for these as they have varied over time and the names used for different purposes. For example the Fairhaven estate stretched from the White Church to Lord Ashton's bungalow but current electoral wards cover a smaller area.

Choose a district within the ancient parish of Lytham:

A walk around Lytham's Heritage is an electronic version of a leaflet available from the Heritage Group providing information about local places in Lytham.
